C4ISR, Robot Platforms, and Sensor Conference
Date: 24-25 September 2008
The Security Network will hold its 1st annual
“C4ISR, Robot Platforms, and Sensor Conference: Ensuring Secure
Information Sharing from Sensor to Responder” on Sept. 24-25, 2008.
Co-Sponsored by: AUVSI San Diego Chapter
The rationale for this annual conference:
This conference is focused on some of the most exciting and fastest growing security markets in the world that also correspond to security technology strengths of San Diego – C4ISR, robotics, Information Assurance, and sensors of all kinds. One goal of this conference is to build awareness locally, regionally, nationally and internationally of these world-class strengths in San Diego. But it is also about relationships with innovate security providers and government agencies across the U.S. and the world. Private companies, military and government agencies are looking for best-in-breed technologies from wherever they are and this is an important opportunity to see and be seen by companies and institutions focused on these common areas of interest – C4ISR, robot platforms, Information Assurance, and sensors.
Why San Diego?
SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) San Diego is the lead C4ISR center for the Navy, which has attracted defense contractors interested in the field to San Diego. SSC is also an important factor in the explosion of robotics work in San Diego, including air, ground and on and below the water. The Security Network plans to focus this annual conference in San Diego on the continuum “from sensor to responder” including the necessity to emphasize Identity Management and Information Assurance in an increasingly open standards, interoperable world. There will be speakers and panelists from government agencies such as CA Office of Homeland Security, DHS S&T, NSA, SPAWAR, SPAWAR Systems Center and other military and government organizations in addition to representatives of leading companies in the private sector. There will be a technology exposition as part of the Conference, part of which will include a small product demonstration area where companies can demo their technologies.
Note: there is a weight limit for products in the demonstration area.
